Trutein: with Omega-3s & Nucleotides!

We are proud to introduce Trutein, an ultra-premium protein powder designed for professional athletes. We specifically formulated Trutein to be the best-tasting and most innovative protein available. Consequently, Trutein delivers more health benefits than any other existing protein.

  • Sustained-Release Protein Blend of Whey, Micellar Casein & Egg White
  • 75mg Omega-3s & 20mg Nucleotide Recovery Module (To reduce inflammation & lower cortisol)
  • Labeling Integrity, i.e. no label dressing
  • 23g Protein, 5g BCAAs & 4.6g Glutamine Precursors (To continuously fuel new muscle synthesis)
  • 100mg Trusorb Amino Acid Utilization Enzyme Module (To increase amino acid uptake)
  • 2.5g Prebiotic Fiber Blend (To promote digestive health and satiety)

Label Dressing  - Definition

To "dress up" a product's label with claims/statements that make the product appear healthier or better than it really is. Often used on protein supplement labels in reference to micellar casein and Omega-3s.

  • Most labels claims that tout the inclusion of micellar casein, omega-3s, etc. are misleading
  • They are misleading because the ingredients are in amounts too small to be effective
  • Cheaper fillers are almost always used as substitutes
  • Trutein's labeling integrity program aims to inform consumers exactly what's inside

Simply put, label "dressing" is the term that supplement marketers use to describe doctoring supplements to make them appear much better than they really are. For example, many proteins exclaim in bold letters the inclusion of micellar casein and egg white, yet the reality of the matter is that unless the specific proportions are clearly delineated, chances are good that the blend contains less than 5 percent of micellar casein and egg white. This is because whey is less than half the cost of micellar casein and egg protein. This is a classic instance of a company being more concerned with profits than with quality.

Now the whole point of using micellar casein and egg white is for their unique muscle building and anti-catabolic properties, which are different than whey. By adding only tiny amounts of these protein forms, it defeats the whole purpose of their inclusion, thus rendering the "label claim" pointless and misleading. Ultimately, these companies are breaching the trust between them and you, and you, as the consumer are being duped.

Trutein, on the other hand, values labeling integrity. Consequently, Trutein reveals exactly the percentage component of its individual protein components, as well as its recovery complex. You know exactly what you're buying and you can rest assured that you truly are receiving the highest quality formula available.

Trutein's Triple Protein Blend

  • Sustained-Release Protein Blend: Over 7-hours of Total Body Amino Saturation
  • Non-thermally-processed Cross-Flow Nanofiltered Isolates are Trutein's Dominant Protein Forms
  • Maximizes Muscle Building & Positive Nitrogen Balance; Minimizes Catabolism

Trutein contains three different forms of protein: whey, micellar casein and egg white. The benefits of supplementing with both micellar casein and egg white alongside whey are their very different rates of absorption. While whey is quickly broken down within an hour, egg proteins are absorbed within 2.5 to 3 hours and micellar caseins are digested over the course of 7 hours (see chart). Taken together, this means that Trutein promotes stabilized total-body amino acid saturation to continually fuel muscle synthesis.

One key measure of your body’s ability to build muscle is your degree of nitrogen balance. A positive nitrogen balance signifies periods of new growth while a negative nitrogen balance indicates periods of tissue breakdown (catabolism). Trutein’s sustained-release blend ensures a constant influx of amino acids to maintain long-run positive nitrogen balances.

Trutein predominantly uses the “isolate” forms of whey and micellar casein (from milk protein isolate) as opposed to the “concentrate” forms, which are less pure. For every 100 grams of whey or milk protein, the isolate form yields over 90 grams of pure protein, whereas the concentrate form yields only between 34 to 80 grams of pure protein with the remainder existing as fat and lactose. Isolates are also significantly pricier than concentrates. Trutein, as an ultra-premium protein supplement, maximizes its use of the superior isolate form because we know that professional athletes require the competitive edge that isolates yield.

Our proteins are processed using a nonthermal, cross-flow nanofiltration system to give the cleanest possible product. This filtration process also retains many of the naturally-occurring bioactive peptides within the proteins. These bioactive protein fractions include alpha-lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, glycomacropeptides and lactoferrin, all of which support healthy immune and digestive systems. Some of their mechanisms of actions include inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria and binding to important nutrients to enhance overall bio-utilization.

Omega-3s: Recovery & Nutrient Uptake

Sure, everyone knows that Omega-3s are good for you. But what exactly do they do and how do they help the professional athlete perform better, faster and stronger?

Omega-3s improve your insulin sensitivity. Insulin, known as the “storage hormone,” controls the uptake of important nutrients into all cells. It stimulates the absorption of compounds ranging from carbohydrates (used as fuel) to amino acids. Thus, enhanced insulin sensitivity can lead to more efficient utilization of the nutrients and protein that you obtain from Trutein and from your diet in general.

Omega-3s can reduce inflammation, which is the leading cause cause of muscle soreness and joint pain following a hard workout. Omega-3s are precursors to powerful compounds known as prostaglandins that work to minimize the body’s unwanted inflammatory response. You may consequently notice reduced inflammation-related aches and pains.

Nucleotides: More Power & Less Cortisol

Nucleotides are the workhorses of all genetic manufacturing. They form the molecular building blocks of processes ranging from gene transcription to energy utilization. Nucleotides can help you perform better via:

Boosting intramuscular ATP reserves. ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is the primary source of all energy within our bodies. ATP is also formed from the nucleotide adenosine monophosphate. By supplementing with dietary adenosine, you may create surplus ATP caches that can be tapped into for explosive endurance that will help you pump out that final rep.

Reducing cortisol, which in turn maximizes Trutein’s anti-catabolic action. Cortisol, commonly regarded as the enemy to new muscle synthesis, halts protein synthsis and testosterone production. Clinical trials have revealed that nucleotide supplementation may help to suppress cortisol levels.

Once you try Trutein, you will never settle for anything less!

My New Favorite Protein By Daniel By: Daniel

Review posted on: Tue Jul 06 21:22:05 -0400 2010

It mixes great in a shaker cup with either water or skim milk. There are no stomach issues (gas, bloating) with this protein even when I add oat flour to my morning shake. I have tried all 5 flavors and they are all amazing! I will list them in order of my favorites. All flavors are very true to their names. Vanilla - Tastes exactly like a McDonald's milkshake! I am not a vanilla fan but I will be buying more of this. It is the best vanilla protein I have tried hands down! Chocolate Covered Banana - If I had known it was this good I would have bought this first. No chemical aftertastes like a lot of banana proteins. Very awesome flavor! Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup - One of those just got to have flavors. My oat flour goes great with this flavor for my morning shake. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry - reminds me of chocolate and strawberry ice cream mixed together. Very nice blend of flavors. Again no chemical aftertaste like I have experienced with some strawberry flavored proteins. Chocolate - Very good, but I would always buy any of the other flavors first if available. It is as good as your current favorite chocolate.

Overall and excellent protein with a nice mixture of protein sources. With that said, it is phenomenal that the mixability is great, and the tastes are out of this world. Will be getting more

Hi, I'm Greg & I formulated Trutein. Here are some customer reviews that were posted on anabolicminds.com, the Nutraplanet forum: Had the Chocolate Covered Banana in 8 oz. of skim milk. This is out of this world good!! I have never had a protein that tasted this good!! I wish I did not have 5 cans of protein powder in the closet. I can not wait to try the other flavors!! -drob Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Taste: 10/10!!!!! Winner. Absolutely awesome. I nice mixture of both chocolate and PB, neither of which was totally overpowering. I will most certainly buy this again -AE14 Vanilla's 10/10 This is the BEST vanilla out there. Vanilla is generally the worse flavor to choose, but here it's arguably the best. Vanilla tasted actually like vanilla, and it was a nice creamy shake -fawker

The Best Whey Protein By: Schweitzer

Review posted on: Tue Jan 24 00:41:25 -0500 2012

It is simply a great whey protein. It taste great, it mixes fairly well, and it is very unique and tastes natural. A blender would be a good choice over a shaker because it tends to clump up, but otherwise I had a great experience with the milk chocolate.

Blah!! By: Steve

This stuff doesn't taste like Chocolate Or Peanut butter. It smells good but doesn't taste good! It has some kind of strange aftertaste too. Mixes great though. I even gave some to my wife and she asked, "Are you sure it hasn't gone bad?". Also it has small hard chunks of some kind of white powder mixed in with the protein.
