3rd Bottle By: Benjamin

Got my third bottle the other day. Comments:
- This is my third bottle, each bottle has been DRASTICALLY different
- Smell is amazing now. Best of the three. Really, really big draw for this product
- Still too liquidy. To the point where it would almost seep out of your hands. Needs to be thicker, like a "real" bodywash
- Still not sudsy enough. Applying by hand or even with a louffa is in no way cost effective. You will burn through this stuff in a couple of weeks and and over 2 x / per oz the cost of regular body wash, it is not worth it. I use a bath sponge type thing, but it still doesn't lather (despite the name) at all. Disappointing.

I am not the "Ben" from below - I am actually the person who wrote the first review, which I meant to give 5 stars to. I am also writing this based on thoughts I formulated before reading the review below (just happen to be exactly the same...)
1. Noticed the first time I squirted this into a loufa - not the same color as my previous bottle. Much lighter.
2. Noticed the scent was not the same at all. Not a true coffee scent, like my last bottle or the java bars. More of an almondy scent. Certainly not the same or as appealing.
3. The biggest thing for me - this stuff straight up does not foam or lather at all. You need 3 x as much as normal body wash (axe, old spice, etc.) to get your body clean - that is even with using a loufa or sponge to increase lather-ability.
I am incredibly disappointed with this product. I certainly won't order it again. Do yourself a favor and stick to the java lather bars, you'll be glad you did.

I have gotten two bottles of this soap in the past, and although Dsade denies any 'major' change in the formula, it's not the same as it was in the past (for worse).
Older versions were darker in color (this is a light brown), and the other accenting smells were more prevalent.
With this last bottle, the smell is a chemically-coffee like scent, without the other flavor notes. It's like when you walk out of Dunkin Donuts after you've been inside for 5 minutes, you have that unpleasant coffee smell lingering on you. I'm sure some people will not mind this, but I also take issue that this does not lather at all. The exfoliating pieces that were in the other versions of this soap are just not present as much as the others, to the point that I'm surprised if I see any when I pour some soap onto my hand.
I don't mean to make a big deal out of soap, but for 8oz. running $10 plus shipping, when you step back, this is pretty expensive compared to other body washes. I had no issue paying this with the older versions because the smell was so good (even bought their reed diffusers with this scent), but not only is the smell different, it's almost impossible to use because it doesn't lather. I'll probably use the rest of this mostly full bottle up if I run out of my current soap and forget to buy more.

I actually look forward to my morning shower and my daily Java Lather fix. Stuff smells amazing, leaves my skin soft, and did I mention how good it smells? The liquid stuff lathers up perfectly and a small squirt on a bath sponge or louffa is all you need. Great product, keep up the good work!

This is really great soap, it smells just like coffee and leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturized. My first impression was that it felt oily, so I was afraid to use it on my face. However, it works just as well on acne prone areas.
