NutraPlanet TEA-GCG™ (Green Tea Capsules)

Benefits of Green Tea: Fat Burner, Anti-Oxidant & More

NutraPlanet TEA-GCG™ is a green tea fat burner that is a reliable and affordable way to supply a super high quality green tea extract to your diet.

Green Tea, especially when extracted for high levels of a catechin called epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is an anti-oxidant powerhouse, potent fat burner and all around health super food. In fact, green tea is one of the widely studied herbs in existence. As of 2004, there were over 1000 studies published that demonstrated the health benefits of green tea.

As an anti-oxidant, green tea has been proven to be remarkably powerful and safe. EGCG, the main anti-oxidant compounds, work to increase superoxide radical, the most common free radical in the human body. Green tea containing large amounts of EGCG is being studied for everything from bone formation to its role in fighting the flu.

Green tea fat burners are widely common in the fitness industry. This is because green tea is found in numerous fat burner products on the market for its ability to increase norephedrine levels, thereby stimulating fat mobilization and usage for energy and promotes thermogenesis, upregulating the body’s metabolism while at work and at rest.

Because this green tea fat burner contains small levels of natural caffeine, it should not be used by those wishing to eliminate caffeine from their diet.

A load of crap and false ingredients By: Jacqueline

Review posted on: 2013-04-08 18:14:16 -0400

If you read the ingredients breakdown on the bottle when you get it. It says 500 mg per serving. 90% polyphenols, 75% catechins, 50% EGCG. Add that up and the product has 215%. Last I looked 100% of something was all you could get. To top it off, on the site it says they just have gelatin as the additional ingredient. On the bottle when you get it, it also has silica and magnesium stearate. This product is being sold with false ingredient information and ridiculous percentages. NutraPlanet Comments: Jacqueline, catechins are a type of naturally occuring polyphenols and potent antioxidant with many health benefits. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the primary catechin in Green Tea. So the reason the % is greater than 100 is because EGCG is type of catechin, and catechins are a type of polyphenol. Regarding the additional ingredients, the site did not have the complete list but has now been updated - thank you for pointing this out. The additional ingredients are natural fillers to give each capsule a uniform fill and weight. These are common use fillers in virtually every supplement and are in miniscule amounts to "fill" the remaining void of a capsule. Lastly, on every bottle of NutraPlanet brand of products, you will see a Lot # sticker. You can type this number in the Lot# Lookup in the footer of the Tea-GCG page and pull up the specific independent lab test that shows the identity, potency, purity of each batch. We also test for heavy metals and microbials to ensure each NutraPlanet product has the highest quality.

Great product at a great price, what more can you ask for?! I've already gone through 8 bags and I just ordered 5 more (looks like it comes in bottles now?) so I can take a healthy dosage to support my cut and still give a bottle or two away to family members.

Is it even possible to find green tea caps cheaper? By: Matt

I think not. No brainer here. Effective dosage, high potency extract, and the best price in the industry. Nutraplanet is the most exciting thing to hit the industry in a while.
