Phenibut (beta-phenyl- gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a derivative of the neurotransmitter GABA that crosses the blood-brain barrier [1]. It was developed in Russia, and there it has been used clinically since the 1960's for a range of purposes. Phenibut has both nootropic and anxiolytic (anxiety-reducing) properties, and it is commonly compared to diazepam (Valium), baclofen, and piracetam, and it has similarities to and differences from all of these substances.

Not What It Used to Be By: RickReview posted on: Fri Oct 30 20:27:23 -0400 2009 I have been buying and using Phenibut off and on for about 4 years. I used to purchase it from bulk nutrition. About January of this year, I noticied that the consistency and effect completely changed. I used to look like granulized sugar. Now it looks like baby powder with it having very little impact like it used to have. I thought for a long time that maybe my brain had simply adapted to it but this past weekend my sister had some of the old style of Phenibut. When I took that I took what I normally take of the baby powder stuff (3g) and it had a major major impact...to the point where I was almost non-functional. I am not sure what they did but it is definately not the same Phenibut that I used to buy...safe your money. Love the stuff!!! Also tried Primaforce and was disappointed. Depends on your tolerance. Be careful not to use it too often or you will build a tolerance VERY quickly! Mixes nice with a few cocktails (not in the drink). Try it sublingual for a much faster delivery. |
