L-Leucine is an essential amino acid, specifically classified as a "branched-chain amino acid" (BCAA). Very tough to mix without blending though but it sounds like others have this problem. Casey is right...the reason this won't mix well in water is because water is a polar molecule and leucine is nonpolar and because like dissolves like they do not mix. This proves that NP is legit and that this is pure leucine. Because there is no polar atoms in the amino acid side chain of Leucine, this makes interactions with water in aqueous solution impossible. One time I actually fell asleep, and when I woke up the next morning, there was STILL fluffy (now wet and clumpy-ish) powder floating on top. Be prepared for it. Good price,good stuff!
