Policosanol is a blend of fatty alcohols derived from natural plant waxes. NOW® Policosanol contains several long chain fatty alcohols (LCFA™s), including Triacontanol, Octacosanol and Hexacosanol. In vitro and animal studies have shown that these fatty alcohol constituents possess considerable antioxidant activity, inhibit lipid peroxidation and support healthy immune function.
