Cordygen5 is a pure, solid state fermented, super potent blend of extracts from four strains and five species of cordyceps including Cordyceps Sinensis Alohaensis Hybrid, CS4 strain Cordyceps Sinensis, Cordyceps Militaris, Cordyceps Sobolifera and Cordyceps Ophioglossoides. The Cordyceps Sinensis Alohaensis Hybrid strain contains the highest HEAA (Hydroxy Ethyl Adenosine Analogs) levels ever measured and biological active ingredient levels about 5.3 times higher than the best wild collected samples. The potency of the Cordygen5 cordyceps blend comes from the proprietary combination of cordyceps strains and the way these strains are cultured and extracted.

Almost all cordyceps strains are cultured in a process called liquid cultivation or fermentation. This process uses a liquid substrate to grow the cordyceps mycelium in a very speedy 5-18 days, yielding low levels of active constituents. The cordyceps mycelium is then harvested by filtering out the liquid medium, drying it and grinding it into a powder. By filtering out the liquid medium many of the quality compounds secreted by the cordyceps are lost. It is usually further processed using hot water or solvents resulting in the loss of nearly 90% of the active constituents of which it had few of to begin with due to the fast liquid culturing process.

Cordygen5 is grown using a solid state (solid substrate) or biomass method. This is a much slower culturing method where the cordyceps is grown on a sterilized solid medium such as organic grain. The cordyceps is allowed to consume the solid substrate while being subjected to temperature and gas changes (O2 and CO2) to simulate its native high altitude conditions. This process typically takes between 22 and 24 weeks (nearly 6 months) before the cordyceps is ready for harvest. When the cordyceps mycelium is ready to harvest it has consumed more than 98% of the solid medium in which it was cultured on.

The residual substrate is then removed yielding 100% pure, super potent cordyceps material with extremely high concentrations of active constituents from every facet of its life cycle. The cordyceps is then extracted & concentrated to increase it's potency up to 20X. This process allows Cordygen5 to exceed the potency of other cordyceps products on the market by up to 95%.

Tibetan Sherpas use cordyceps to enhance energy production and oxygen utilization when climbing Mt. Everest. In 1993 the Chinese Women's National Track Team used cordyceps to set nine world records, three by staggering margins. In this country its use has been researched for it's enhancement of energy production with applications in athletic performance and fatigue. Oxygen Utilization: N/A. I was actually rather breathless for the majority of my training sessions, often lying on the floor between sets during resistance training. However, wasn't wearing a gas analyzer during my training sessions, so cannot give a 'measurement' here. Note that training also usually STARTED ~2 hours post-Cordygen5 dose. Endurance/Stamina: 7/10. My training sessions over the last month have been structured differently than usual, with cardio then resistance training then post-weights cardio and then stretching, as opposed to stretching BEFORE resistance training and NOT doing post-weights cardio, with a few pm cardio sessions chucked in there as well. My endurance is already very high, but I've been managing ok considering my stress and fatigue levels. Recovery: 5/10. During resistance training my recovery is as it has always been, sticking to 1 minute recovery periods (and up to 3 minutes between supersets that include Close-Grip Pull-Ups)...As far as recovery, it has not been the greatest. DOMS has been experienced regularly, particularly in Legs - a place I would never usually get DOMS, and considering that I only do Hamstring work, should have not got any in my quads. Hamstrings was the most painful DOMS though, and last several days starting ~72 hours after each Hamstrings' session...Sleep was ok the first 2 weeks and then got so screwed up from there... Training Intensity: 7/10. Training intensity has been as hard as I can do it each session, as I always do. Cardio has been different, using mostly skipping instead of running (since it wasn't safe to run out on the ice), and intensity has been good. Got better over the first week and beyond. Energy: 7/10. I crashed bad and had a very hard time of it around Day 12, and not really coming back to myself until Day 24. Could be contributed to the fact that I haven't had a week off training for 16 weeks prior and the heavy stress I was under. Was great pre and post those days, though... Testosterone Levels: N/A. Although I would have liked to see the changes in my Testosterone (total and free) levels from pre to post-Cordygen5, I did not have bloods done. Immune Function: 7/10. Was fine the first 10 days and then my wisdom teeth came up on Day 11 - indicating high stress, and stayed for about a week, probably from the high stress and pressure I was under. Started experiencing chills on and off for the last couple of weeks - could be due to me gong outside in barely more than a t-shirt a few times, as well as losing bodyfat. Towards the end I got more in tune with it and started becoming more and more sensitive to changes in blood sugar and insulin levels. Overall: 7/10. This product was used for endurance/stamina effects, so that is what I am going to primarily base my 'overall' on. Training volume has been increased during weeks 1-2 and week 4 than what it would normally be, and I've done well, considering everything. Would I use it again? Yes. I would actually be interested in seeing how my sprinting speed endurance went when I was using Cordygen5. Would I recommend? Yes. For the endurance athlete or individual who trains both aerobically and anaerobically in the 'same' session, Cordygen5 is definitely a product that would benefit them.

C5 and Ultra VO-2 are my two #1 supps, period. If you think the write up is too good to be true, well in all my life of lifting and running, these are the only two products that live up to every single of it's claims. Nutra, keep C5 and Ultra-VO2 in-stock at all times please! I am so glad I found you MST. At first I dreaded running, then I sucked it up and got used to it, now I cannot wait to hit the track. Best endurance product ever. It gives "energy" a whole new name. Like someone said, it won't make you into a trackstar overnight, but it sure as hell will make cardio and workouts so much more enjoyable. Enough talk, get C5, and feel the raw power of oxygen O2.

this product allowed me to enjoy my runs more. I didn't drop minutes of my run times but running 2-5 miles was more enjoyable because i felt cordy 5 kept me from feeling the cardio burn as soon as i normally would. This allowed me to improve my times and running consistency but this isn't a miracle pill that turns you into a track star. Nonetheless it is a great supplement for endurance

After talking to MST reps who were VERY honest (even suggesting buying less products to fit my needs), I decided on C5 over v02 due to budget restrictions. My goals were strength gain and some stamina rather than cardio (which I don't do). I only take c5 on workout days (4-5 caps) and my strength definetly has improved in what I describe as "wtf why is this weight moving" meaning I will feel dead, the rep will go slow and it should be the end of the set buuuut I just push and the weight moves. ODD but awsome. Not thinking about doing cardio and running PCT I am even more reliant on c5 and so far so good. **Justreading
