Only problem I had is mixing and having clumps appear but to be honest I actally prefered the clumps because when I use a spoon the clumps taste like pure peices of chocolate. I get a buzz of energy and feel pumped up and ready for my workouts fifteen to thirty minutes after injesting. Honestly, you need to try it and then decide. But do not put 1 scoop in with only 8 oz of water. It is very strong. Also, I was expecting it to be a little thicker (like a protein shake). What I like is the fact that it mixes well with water (withoug a blender). Sometimes the shakes can get foamy, but nothing beats their taste. Mixability is great as well. They give you a break from the same old vanilla/chocolate everyday. I tried the blueberry and pineapple/mango. I can't see using 5lbs of either, but 2lbs every now and then is a nice change. However avoid the blueberry, the only bad flavor. For some reason it tastes like dirt and is very hard to drink. Pineapple Mango: I love this so much, I now use this only as a treat to reward myself for accomplishing an important task. Mix some frozen bananas and a scoop of this together in a blender, and your mouth will instantly die and go to heaven. (10+/10) Raspberry Lemonade: This should be a staple in the diet of any health-minded person! It doesn't have the most amazing taste in the world, but it's super-special in that I can drink a gallon of this stuff everyday and not tire of it. Skim the foam off the top, swirl in a few ice cubes, and take sips while relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long day's work. (10/10) Blueberry Madness: I can see (err... taste) why everyone creams their pants whilst describing the awesomeness of this flavor. Very very rich, blueberry-yogurt-like flavor. The only freaky thing is sometimes you can see little bits of blue chemicals on the top that's not fully dissolved. ::shiver:: (9.25/10) Green Apple: Meh. (7.5/10) I haven't tried the other two flavors, but I sure am glad to have found the two most perfect-tasting proteins out there! This stuff is so time-efficient and cost-efficient, not to mention the added benefits of the compounds (SDBP, etc.) that other whey isolates don't have, you would be out of your mind not to grab this before I buy out the rest of nutraplanet's stock and reserves. Mwahaha. Overall, I give this product a 5...million out of 5. I'm a taste whore, so I know when something tastes great. Orange Cream and Pineapple Mango are absolutely amazing. I mix 1 scoop with 10 oz of skim milk and I'm good to go. As for the effects, what do you expect? It's frickin' protein with some bull's testicles thrown in. If you want taste, this is it for fruit flavored proteins. I joked with my wife when I first tried it... she asked, "How is it?" and I said, "Ah! I can feel it working!" LOL Anyway, to get real - it tastes pretty good. The best of any fruit flavored protein I've had, though still not preferable to me to the basic chocolate flavor I usually use; it is a nice change. It mixed very well and the the measuring scoop was accurate. Ergopharm is a solid company with a good reputation and this seems to be a solid product. I like it. (I tried the orange cream flavor.) |
