Pro-Dessert a delicious way to include more quality protein in to your diet. Pro-Dessert mixes easily in 150ml of cold water in a shaker bottle, hand mixer or blender and then can be poured into a desired container and allowed to set for 3 to 5 minutes.
Peptide bonded glutamine has been included too as it is an amino acid that promotes a healthy gut and growth hormone production. Egg white has also been added due to its high content of the amino acid cysteine which helps maintain muscle mass and protects the liver. Cysteine also plays an important part in the production of glutathione which is the body's primary anti oxidant which neutralise free radicals and enhances the immune system. Pro-Dessert is ideal to be taken after any meal to increase protein intake or can be taken as a healthy treat at any time. Each 39 gram sachet* of Pro-Dessert has only 135 calories, yet provides 25 grams of our unique protein blend but with only 4 grams of carbohydrates and 2 grams of saturated fat. Each box of Pro-Dessert contains 15 measured sachets and is available in chocolate or vanilla flavour. Amino acids are absorbed by molecular weight and peptide bonded amino acids are heavier than free form. Egg White has a high level of the amino acid cysteine, which is a key amino acid in maintaining muscle mass and helps protect the liver. Cysteine (Non Essential Amino Acid) plays an important role in the production of Glutathione ("Glue-toe-thigh-own") (a small protein), which is the bodies primary anti-oxidant, which neutralises free radicalsand enhances the immune system which is important in the manufacture of muscle growth. Low DE Maltodextrin Maltodextrin is an easily digestible form of carbohydrate made from various natural sources (e.g. corn, rice, potato and waxy maize) and is thus available in a range of DE values (dextrose equivalent). A lower D.E. value in a maltodextrin equates to a lower G.I. (glycemic index) and yes this lower G.I. material is both a reality and freely available. Pro Desert contains low D.E. material (same as used in Pro MR) Maltodextrin is the preferred carbohydrate used in energy foods, due to its solubility, low taste profile, and quick absorption.
