By: DavidReview posted on: Tue Nov 13 16:55:14 -0500 2007 As always, this product was shipped in a suspiciously fast manner by the wonderful folks at Nutraplanet. I swear they have little magical creatures doing all the work, because the orders come at lightning speed. Anyhow, when I found Sesamax, I thought it may be the perfect answer to carrying fewer supplements in my travel-sized supplement boxes. Instead of large softgels of EFAs and others of sesamin, I could get both substances in one softgel. When they arrived, I liked the appearance of the gels, they are solid red and very distinctive-looking. I've bought several bottles of Sesamax mainly for its convenience, but the softgels seem to not be able to withstand heat too well and feel very mushy after just a couple hours on a hot day. I am worried that they may break open if not handled carefully. While I can say this product is effective, I definitely have to up the dosage to notice results compared to using EFAs separately with other companies' sesamin supps. Seriously folks, it seems that I need to take three or four Sesamax to equal the fat-fighting power of just one EFA softgel and one sesamin capsule of another brand. I mainly use sesamin products on cheat days while cutting, and I am not someone who takes measurements often, but I can tell you that supplementing with EFAs and sesamin definitely helps over my old regimen of EFAs and CLA. Sesamax is a decent product but from now on I will only keep it on hand for emergencies because it seems underdosed and the softgels do not like the summer heat. This seems to be a case of "you get what you pay for" as Sesamax costs less than most other sesamin products. |
