Customer Reviews for Whey Protein Blend (5 lb) by All The WheyView All 44 Reviews For Whey Protein Blend (5 lb) A very good, affordable whey protein!! By: BrandonReview posted on: Mon Dec 28 10:36:08 -0500 2009 I used to use Optimum Nutrition Whey Gold Standard, and even before when it was called Optimum 100% whey protein, and I thought that was as good as it got in terms of taste and mixability for a decent price. I was so wrong! Every since I tried ATW Cinnamon Bun, I've never went anywhere else for protein. At 30$ for 80 servings, that is less than $0.50 per single serving shake, and a single serving with milk fills me up!!! Also, the taste is incredible, and I find that both the Isolate and the Blend mix very well, and taste pretty similar. The isolate is a little better for your digestive system and is absorbed a little faster in your system, but they are both great choices! I am extremely satisfied with this protein, and trust me, I've tried them all. Everything from BSN, Gaspari, Optimum, Scivation, Dymatize, Cytosport (Muscle Milk), you name it, I've used it, and I'm sticking with the All The Whey. You simply can not beat it. Best Protein, Dollar for Dollar By: JeffReview posted on: Mon Aug 31 18:45:13 -0400 2009 This is a basic, no-frills protein. No CLA, no digestive enzymes, no fiber, etc. BUT, it definitely does the job, and tastes great to boot. I've tried both the Cup Cake Batter and the Chocolate PB, and have really enjoyed both of them. The CCB was a little clumpy, but the Choc PB mixed really well. Taste was outstanding, but I said that already. For the price, you can't find better. This is now a staple on my supplement shelf, and I'm looking forward to trying other flavors. Okay price. Acceptable flavor. By: AlexReview posted on: Sun Aug 16 11:42:21 -0400 2009 I read a lot of rave reviews about the cinnamon bun flavor and decided to try it, despite the increasingly negative feedback closer to the top. I would tend to agree more with the recent reviewers that the taste is only so-so. Kinda like drinking the milk after eating a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch. There was a slightly chemical aftertaste to the product but I didn't think it was as bad as a previous reviewer (different lots perhaps). For me the biggest issue is clumping and settling--even thirty seconds in my magic bullet blender could not eliminate the clumping and large chunks (5-10mm) would form and settle at the bottom of my cup. I tried everything from my magic bullet, to my blender bottle shaker, to a regular shaker, to stirring, and nothing seems to do the trick. Great price for this product though. I'd still say the flavor is pretty good for a nutritional supplement. All in all not a bad choice if you don't mind chugging down soggy chunks of protein at the end of your shake (which may or may not happen in every batch). ~Alex C Nothing Spectacular By: TonyReview posted on: Thu Apr 30 11:03:02 -0400 2009 Based on reviews, I was expecting a flavor that rivaled Muscle Milk. Sadly, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup didn't come close. It's a good value, but I'd probably go with ON if I wanted a value-priced whey, as they have the added benefit of Aminogen. ATW doesn't have this, and trust me...you'll notice the difference. Great Protein!! By: JeremyReview posted on: Sat Jan 30 11:41:05 -0500 2010 It mixes really well and taste is not too bad. The flavor just does not pack much punch, but it is nowhere close to bad, just not a strong flavor. If you like to mix you protein with anything other than water then this is a great choice. However, I just use water and it works well for me. I would buy this protein just for the ease of spoon mixing, and not having to wash a shaker every time I want some protein. |
