well im not the fondest of all the way flavoring systems, but peanut butter is a real winner. i would venture that all the other major manufacturers will soon copy this flavor.

When i first bought this a couple months ago it was awesome. Now it comes in a pouch and tastes very bland. The flavor isnt there anymore. It now tastes like plastic. The whole batch smells different too, and trust me i can smell things a bit too well for a guy. If i recall the old one used to be 25g per serving, now its 20g. I'm really disappointed because i loved how this tasted :(.

Have not tried a flavor I did not like. My least favorite was chocolate caramel and even that was good. The blend is the best financial value, even though the isolate is relatively inexpensive. CPBC is outstanding, as is wild berry

Best Protein, Dollar for Dollar By: Jeff

Review posted on: Mon Aug 31 18:45:13 -0400 2009

This is a basic, no-frills protein. No CLA, no digestive enzymes, no fiber, etc. BUT, it definitely does the job, and tastes great to boot. I've tried both the Cup Cake Batter and the Chocolate PB, and have really enjoyed both of them. The CCB was a little clumpy, but the Choc PB mixed really well. Taste was outstanding, but I said that already. For the price, you can't find better. This is now a staple on my supplement shelf, and I'm looking forward to trying other flavors.

I purchased my first bag of Cinn Bun on 4/9, best stuff ever. I purchased my second bag about a month later. The second bag has a different taste, gritty texture, and worst of all it leave a funny plastic taste in your mouth. I'm actually afraid to consume it due to the aftertaste, what a waste.

Got the Chocolate peanut butter cup and it is EXACTLY like drinking the milk left over from a bowl of reeses puffs (complete with small chunks floating in it). If you like that then you'll like this. I have ordered the Cinnebun (which I hope will be awesome like everyone says) and the cupcake batter. Hope they are better than this one. Has anyone tried the Strawberry, wildberry, or vanilla ice cream sandwich? They sound good, but I'd like to see some reviews before I get a whole tub.

This will actually probably become my staple protein. its a bit low in flavoring for water, but I think it lends to being tolerable by everyone. Great price, pretty good profile, good taste. Definitely recommended if its found at a good price. 5 stars

Nothing Spectacular By: Tony

Based on reviews, I was expecting a flavor that rivaled Muscle Milk. Sadly, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup didn't come close. It's a good value, but I'd probably go with ON if I wanted a value-priced whey, as they have the added benefit of Aminogen. ATW doesn't have this, and trust me...you'll notice the difference.

I been using this protien for a about a year and half now and love it. I use to order directly from ATW, but their was way too many issues with slow shipping. Not only that but its actually cheaper ordering from NP vs ATW. I can complain. Great job to both company for giving us a quality protein at a very good price.

When I first tried this protein, the flavors were amazing, especially cup cake batter. I couldn't go wrong. I am sure that they changed the flavors though, because for the last 6 months they have all tasted like varying flavors of wet dog. But this is the cheapest protein I can find so I will keep buying it till the economy gets better.

I have been using this brand of whey for at least six months and this current batch is horrible. I have never tasted such awful tasting whey protein. It tastes like bleach. I noticed an odd smell when I opened the container. It really is undrinkable. All the other containers have been really delicious.

Inconsistency By: Dan

I have gone through 5 of these tubs (Choc Peanut butter, Van ice cream, cinnamon bun, cup cake batter and chocolate carmel) and I have noticed that the texture has fluctuated wildly along with mixability. Does anyone have any idea if they are adding a lot more fillers or something to keep the cost down? I noticed that when rinsing my shaker out with water it took 4-5 times to have it look clear.... Just my thoughts, and curious if anyone has an answer. Price is great though.

Cinnamon bun sucks! By: Tyler

Review posted on: Mon Nov 16 03:43:33 -0500 2009

I have bought 10 of these for myself and another 10 or 15 for my friends here in Taiwan (thanks for the awesome customer service and fast shipping, Nutraplanet!). I think the flavors generally vary between very good and good (most need to be a bit sweeter in my opinion, but still good). My last order I tried the cupcake batter and cinnamon bun. Cupcake batter mixed 50/50 with chocolate is my favorite protein flavor ever (it sweetens up the chocolate and really does have a cake batter quality), but WOW the cinnamon bun flavor is disgusting. I am not sure if my batch was messed up, but it tastes like there is literally almost no sweetener in it at all (or maybe literally no sweetener). I tried it in a shake and in oatmeal. I threw the shake away (it was like drinking a glass of milk with an excessive amount of cinnamon dumped into it). I tried to power through the oats but couldn't do it. I finally realized that the only way to make this edible is to cut it 50/50 with cupcake batter (CCB is very sweet so it helps make the cinnamon bun edible). I contacted all the whey about this, asking if there was a problem with this batch. All they said was that most of their business comes from private companies so they can't change their flavors. I guess that means that the cinnamon bun tastes like this on purpose, which is astounding to me. I asked them to send a replacement flavor for the cinnamon bun and haven't recieved a reply. I think it might be time to find a replacement brand...

Bought this during the last sale and was stuck with cinnamon bun flavor b/c all others were sold out. Mixing - 9 out of a 10 - mixes fairly easy no clumps Taste - 9 out of a 10 - didnt know what to expect - slight cinnamon taste - not overwhelming - to me its perfect. Will definitely buy again due to pricing and product taste.

Okay price. Acceptable flavor. By: Alex

Review posted on: Sun Aug 16 11:42:21 -0400 2009

I read a lot of rave reviews about the cinnamon bun flavor and decided to try it, despite the increasingly negative feedback closer to the top. I would tend to agree more with the recent reviewers that the taste is only so-so. Kinda like drinking the milk after eating a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch. There was a slightly chemical aftertaste to the product but I didn't think it was as bad as a previous reviewer (different lots perhaps). For me the biggest issue is clumping and settling--even thirty seconds in my magic bullet blender could not eliminate the clumping and large chunks (5-10mm) would form and settle at the bottom of my cup. I tried everything from my magic bullet, to my blender bottle shaker, to a regular shaker, to stirring, and nothing seems to do the trick. Great price for this product though. I'd still say the flavor is pretty good for a nutritional supplement. All in all not a bad choice if you don't mind chugging down soggy chunks of protein at the end of your shake (which may or may not happen in every batch). ~Alex C

Cheap Product By: Antonio

I read some reviews that Cin bun was the greatest flavour ever, thats bs, strong and artificial, but the price has no match. I guess If you mix with good aminoacids and vitamins is the best buy you can do, because it still has 22 gr of protein per scoup. Almost forgot, mixes well, not great, but well...

The Cinnamon Bun has to be by far, the best tasting protein powder I've ever tried and I've tried over a dozen. To me it has the consistency (a bit thicker than most whey powders) and taste of a meal replacement powder but without the calories so it's great for cutting. High quality and mixes very easy. Get a Blender Bottle too if you don't already have one. They're awesome. Also, props to Nutraplanet for their excellent customer service. Will be ordering here from now on.

You can check out the AM subforum http://anabolicminds.com/forum/all-whey/ for more discussions, but everybody I know that has tried Cinnamon Bun Loves it. It goes perfect with oats, and also goes great in shakes. I've gone through several 5lbers, and now have many of my friends addicted to this flavour too! Cupcake batter is pretty good as well, and the vanilla and chocolate don't disappoint. Great value!

Review posted on: Mon Jun 15 13:26:01 -0400 2009

I've gone through 3 bottles of this, 1st was cup cake batter, loved the flavor, tasted like actual cup cakes, and then tried the much talked about cinnamon bun, which was great as well. Then went back to the cupcake batter flavor, and there was definately a big change in the ingredients... It tasted nothing like the first jug, much worse, and on top of the consistancy being slightly grainy, the protein itself produced a thick foam when mixed with just water, and all of these being a new development compared to the first batch. Who knows whats going on, but until I find out confirmation from some one else, I am switching to something else.

If you grind up only ice in the blender...about a half a cup...and then add one heaping scoop of cup cake batter...then add a small amount of milk...each person will like their own amount....i like about an inch height in a normal glass.....then blend....it comes out thick and creamy......and to me HANDS DOWN better than the cinnabun.....cinnabun is pretty good but my vote for best shake is the Cup Cake Batter...only 2 i tried....but i will make sure to never run out of the cup cake batter and rotate the second tub for other flavors......i wont buy the cinnabun again.....it does mix better in water with just a shaker...but why drink that when you can blend an awesome tasting shake with this powder....dont be lazy and make yourself a tasty shake.

I would not reccomend anyone buy Cup Cake Batter. It does not taste good and the mixability of it is terrible. even in water i still get big chunks of protein stuck to the sides of my shaker. I have bought the cinnamon bun tho and it mixes very well. No problems there. Just stay away from the cupcake batter.
