Where'd all the Good People Go?

Picture in your mind’s eye the last time you received exceptional service…I mean service that really knocked your socks off; that went above and beyond your expectations. Was it at a restaurant, a bank, an electronics store? How did it make you feel? Got that image in your head…good, now hold on to it.

Next, picture in your mind’s eye the last time you received horrendous service…I mean service that was so terrible that it made your blood boil. Sad thing is, you can probably recall countless bad customer service experiences. Why is that?

Bad Economy = Bad Service?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had more than my fair share of bad customer service lately. Whether it’s that apathetic associate that could care less about you or your business, or the manager that would rather throw you under the bus than take the time to listen to you or resolve your issue.

In my frustration and despair, I just want to shout from the mountain tops…If you don’t take care of your customers, your customers won’t take care of you! It’s just that simple, and yet so many businesses still don’t get it. It’s shocking that this simple and obvious platitude is overlooked by so many companies.

What Sets You Apart?

If it’s good customer service, don’t let it simply be a marketing slogan, but rather a code of ethics. Don’t settle for good service when you can have GREAT service. At NutraPlanet, we strive to offer “Fanatical Customer Service”. It’s infused in the way we serve our customers, all the way through to how we pack and ship our boxes.

In a day and age where good ole’ fashioned customer service slowly grows extinct, I challenge each and every one of us to remember and practice the simple golden rule…and pass it forward!
